"My focus is on the relationship between what I see and my aesthetic cognition of what I see."
The lines in my drawings are independent of each other and very often they appear together without any contextual meaning. The line has its own identity in the work.
The silk installations are built with lengths of silk painted with ink. One length of silk is a line and the accumulation of these lines creates the final image, a silk wall or room. This work, for me, is between drawing and painting.
The three-dimensional pieces do not represent anything in particular and usually stand in groups.
In all of my work, the fragility of the line is very important to me.
